Account and privacy notice
Version 2026-10-13.1 · Updated 13 October 2026This notice explains the account, preference and payment functions present in ShareSnap.
Account information
Account creation asks for a name, email address, mobile number and password. Email verification is used for account access. Password authentication uses password hashes. Account and session information support sign-in and protected platform features.
Preferences and device storage
ShareSnap uses signed-in session cookies and browser storage for functions such as language choice and selected indicators. Guest choices may be stored on your device; signed-in choices can be saved to your account. Clearing browser storage can remove device-only preferences. Removing a cookie or local preference does not by itself delete server-side account or billing records.
Payments and external services
Razorpay checkout processes payment information under its own terms and privacy practices. ShareSnap uses payment references and verification results to grant access. If you choose Google sign-in, Google’s sign-in service participates in authentication. External news sites receive information according to their own practices when you visit them.
Protecting your information
Share only the information necessary for an account or issue report. Never send passwords, OTPs, full card details or private investment records through public channels. Sign out on shared devices. No online service can promise perfect security. Use a unique password and review information before sharing it.
Your rights
Your privacy and consumer rights under applicable law remain available. Creating an account or acknowledging this notice does not waive those rights. Browser settings let you manage local storage and cookies; these controls are distinct from requests concerning account records held by the service.
